A 43-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in New Cross last night (August 17).
Police were called at around 11pm after a 28-year-old man was knifed in Queens Road.
Firefighters from the nearby New Cross fire station rushed to perform CPR on the man before London Ambulance Service paramedics arrived.
Met Police said the victim was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.
Queens Road was cordoned off to traffic and pedestrians between New Cross Road and Pomeroy Street as police carried out their investigations.
This morning, shortly before 7am police arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.
He remains in custody at a south London police station.
Officers from Lewisham CID are investigating.
