A pervy paramedic who sent revenge porn of his ex-girlfriend to the national press has been struck off.

Guy Tanner, had started a relationship with his victim when they were both based at Deptford ambulance station in May 2010.

The pair moved in together, but, although they split up three years later, carried on cohabiting for financial reasons.

However, she was unaware Mr Tanner had set up a webcam and had filmed her having sex with another colleague.

A Health and Care Professions Council conduct panel heard how he told her about the footage and then sent her a text, saying she had a week to resign from the trust, otherwise he would report the alleged relationship.

And in October 2013, Mr Tanner emailed colleagues and national newspapers links to sexually explicit images, movies and messages involving his ex - named only as Colleague A.

Panel chair Manuela Grayson said: "He carried out a series of premeditated actions calculated to threaten and disgrace Colleague A along with her colleagues in full glare of the national media.

"This was serious misconduct demonstrating reckless disregard as to how his behaviour risked harming the reputation of the paramedic profession."

The panel decided the most proportionate and appropriate conclusion was to strike the name of Guy Tanner from the register and impose an 18 month interim suspension order to cover the appeal period.

Mr Tanner was neither present nor represented at the June 26 hearing.
