Lewisham's fifth annual job fair attracted more than 1,300 people over two days.

The fair that on June 11 and 12 at the Civic Suite, Catford Road, provided a one-stop shop for residents 16 and over.

Experts were available to job hunters to advise on apprenticeships, careers, as well as full, part-time and temporary work available locally. 

Overall 1,315 people overall attended the fair to see companies such as Virgin Media and Waitrose plus Lewisham-based companies such as ERS247 Ltd and SiteMasters.

Deputy Mayor of Lewisham and cabinet member for growth and regeneration Councillor Alan Smith said: "We are serious about supporting Lewisham residents in getting a foot on the job ladder and we will continue to work with our partners to ensure that our residents have every opportunity to gain work skills and employment."

Lewisham Council is recruiting for apprenticeships for young people aged 16-24.
