Residents are being urged to come forward with their views on a pub's £3.8m restoration project.
Bellingham's Fellowship Inn dates back to 1920, it was once a lively social hub for returning World War One soldiers and their families, but fell into disrepair in the 1980s. Now plans are being laid to restore its former glory with a Heritage Lottery Fund grant.
Phoenix Community Housing's proposals for the pub in Randlesdown Road include a cinema, a live music venue, a cafe, a microbrewery, bakery and artist's studios.
The ward's Councillor Alan Hall said: "The views of Bellingham's residents must be taken into account when developing the Fellowship Inn. The potential is enormous and I am very pleased the Heritage Lottery Fund has given us their seal of approval."
