RSPCA investigators want to know how this dog came to be starved before its dead body was dumped in a Catford park.

The body of the male bull breed was found in an extremely emaciated state by a passer-by in Mountsfield Park at around 9.45am on Tuesday (March 24).

He was black, brown and white in colour and believed to be around eight years old.

RSPCA inspector Nick Wheelhouse said: "We would be very keen to hear from anyone who knows anything about how this poor dog came to be abandoned in this way.

"The poor animal was in an extremely thin and neglected state and it is clear he was would have suffered before he died. His body was wrapped in a blanket and had very obviously been dumped.

"Anyone with any information should call us in complete confidence on 0300 123 8018."
