Britpop legends Blur have announced a comeback album and London festival gig for this year.
The band – who formed at Goldsmiths where guitarist Graham Coxon studied art and bassist Alex James studied French – announced on their Facebook page this afternoon that they will release their first album as a four-piece in 16 years on April 27.

It is called The Magic Whip and is available to pre-order already with the song Go Out available instantly if you do.
The group, who played their first every gig at the Goldsmiths student union bar in 1989 and performed a homecoming gig there in 2009, will also play British Summer Time at Hyde Park on June 20, with tickets going on sale at 9am on Friday, February 27.
