Lewisham's newest nightclub has been allowed to reopen, following an outbreak of violence linked to the venue.

Skye in Lewisham High Street was discussed during a closed licensing meeting at Catford town hall last week at the Met Police's request.

It followed allegations of crime and disorder linked to the venue including a large fight outside on December 20 which saw a string of people charged with affray.

The council committee agreed to add a number of conditions to Skye's licence, which had been suspended following the incident.

When it opened last year, manager John Fortune said safety was important, promising eight security staff.
