Millwall and Charlton players made their annual festive visits to hospital - putting a smile on the faces of fans young and old.
Joined by Zampa the Lion, Millwall players popped into Lewisham Hospital to spread some Christmas cheer in the children's wards.
Defender Danny Shittu said: "I was talking to a lady today for about 20 minutes because her young son had bronchiolitis, where they can't breathe by themselves. My son went through the same thing so I was able to give her advice and it was just nice to be there to offer a bit of support."
Over in Woolwich, a group of Addicks players including captain Johnnie Jackson met patients at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Players spent the afternoon at the hospital, first delivering sacks of presents to all the children on the wards, chatting to the youngsters and their families, before visiting some elderly patients.
Jackson said: "It’s not nice being in hospital at Christmas and I have children myself, so it was lovely to be able to cheer them up and give them gifts."
