A 13-year-old girl is seriously injured after being hit by a car in Downham yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to the scene in Downham Way, near the Northover junction, at 4pm following reports of a car in collision with a teenage girl.
The girl was taken to a south-London hospital although injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Her next of kin have been made aware.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene but she was not arrested.
Roads policing officers and detectives from Lewisham CID are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the incident.
