The campaigning has begun for one Lewisham youngster to be crowned the borough's new young mayor.
This year marks the election of the 11th young mayor in Lewisham and all young people in the borough are being encouraged to vote for their favourite from 28 candidates.
Election day is October 15 October and all young people aged 11 to 17 who live or study in Lewisham are can cast their ballot at their school or college.
The winner has a £30,000 budget to spend on initiatives and is supported by a dedicated youth advisory group called the young advisers.
Whoever comes second will be appointed as deputy, while third and fourth place candidates can represent Lewisham as members of the UK Youth Parliament.
