A man has been rushed to hospital after a hit and run accident in Lee High Road last night (September 18).
Police were called at 11.55pm to reports of a man, believed to be 29, lying injured in the Lewisham street.
It is believed he received his injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Lee High Road near the junction with Eastdown Park. The vehicle - initially described as a black car - did not stop at the scene.
The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition but his injuries are described as not life-threatening.
Police enquiries continue to trace the vehicle involved and there have been no arrests so far.
Officers from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
