Lewisham Council are planning to improve the ‘Brockley Corridor’ – long stretch of road running from Brockley Cross to Honor Oak.
The council say they have secured funds from Transport for London through the local improvement plan to develop for improving the streets surrounding the main north-south route between the South Circular and Brockley Cross.
Objectives behind the plan include easing traffic congestion, improving connections with nearby cycle routes and improving air quality in the area.
The scheme, which is part of a public consultation, also proposes to make the area more attractive with more trees, wider pavements and less barriers.
