A prefab home on Catford's Excalibur estate has been turned into a pop-up exhibition this month, filled with photos, memorabilia and filmed interviews.
Originally built by German prisoners of war in 1945 and 1946, six of the 187 bungalows have received Grade II listing.
But the remainder of the estate is being demolished, along with its tin-roofed prefab church, St Mark’s, believed to be one of a kind.
Photographer Elisabeth Blanchet said: "Come and visit the estate before this unique slice of 20th Century social history disappears for good.
"You will learn about the fascination history of these tiny bungalows and meet some residents who have lived in the prefabs for a long time."
The exhibition, at 17 Meliot Road, is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 4.30pm and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm.
