A BROCKLEY mum was not surprised by her £50,000 lottery win - because a tarot card reader had predicted it days before.

Vivian Savage, 44, of Braxfield Road, and her neighbour Christopher Pool each shared a £100,000 prize pot when their postcode was declared the winner in the People's Postcode Lottery.

Ms Savage explained that she had been to a psychic reading shortly before the win, where a financial windfall was predicted.

She said: "The first card I pulled out was gold and the psychic told me that I would be coming into money very soon.

"I was a bit sceptical at first but, according to my mum, I’ve been lucky since I was little and was always the one to win teddy bears and prizes at fairs.

"I can’t believe how much I’ve won though - it’s a real life-changing sum of money."

The mum-of-two, who has been playing since 2012, is hoping to use the money to restart her business and to invest in some property.

She said: "I used to have my own nursery but I couldn’t keep it up as the rent was so expensive.

"I want to invest this money wisely and by the end of the year, have my business up and running again.

"I would also love to purchase some property in my home country of Nigeria and spoil my two daughters, Danielle, 14, and 18-year-old Francesca."

Mr Pool, 44,  who installs fire alarms for Bromley's Triple Star Fire and Security, said: "I nearly fell over when I saw how much was written on the cheque."

He added: "I went to Florida when I was younger so I would love to go back and swim with dolphins.

"My dad is ill at the moment so I’d love to take him and my mum on a holiday and spoil my two nephews Cafey, two, and four-year-old Max."
