Police want to trace this man - ref: 115639
LEWISHAM police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to question in relation to alleged racist abuse at Millwall's game against Birmingham last year.
The news follows a report on Sky Sports News this month which featured footage appearing to show a Millwall follower shouting racial abuse at a Birmingham player during the October 23 match.
Police now want to trace the man shown in this image over the incident. If you can help, call Lewisham police on 020 8284 8399 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Following the Sky programme, Gerrard Scanlon, a 53-year-old delivery driver from Enfield, was charged with a racially aggravated public order offence.
Scanlon, who is accused of shouting racial abuse during a Lions match against Leeds, is due to appear on bail at Bromley Magistrates' Court on February 27.
