IT IS a year on from the murder of a Lewisham brothel owner and detectives have launched a fresh appeal for witnesses.

There is a £20,000 reward on offer for information after Earl Warburton was found dead at his flat in Loampit Hill in the early hours of February 15 last year.

A post mortem examination gave the cause of the 59-year-old’s death as multiple injuries.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service to Mr Warburton’s home shortly before 2.25am and are keen to speak to anyone who might have seen or heard anything suspicious around this time.

The reward remains up for grabs for information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the murder.

Detective Inspector Rick Murphy, of the Met’s Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "It has been a year since Mr Warburton was killed in Lewisham. We still need to hear from anyone who thinks they might have some information that can assist in our investigation.

"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area during the early hours of Wednesday 15 February who might have seen or heard anything suspicious. Please come forward and talk to us in confidence."

Anyone with information should call the incident room on 020 8721 4868 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
