FIRE crews were called to a house fire on Culverly Road in Catford last night (Feb 13).
The fire damaged a large part of the first floor, but fortunately a family of four escaped before firefighters arrived. They were treated on the scene by London Ambulance Service.
Four fire engines were at the scene from Downham, New Cross, Beckenham, and Lee Green fire stations.
The brigade was called at 9.19pm and the fire was under control at 10.45pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
