AN EARLIER trespass incident on the train tracks near Honor Oak Park is still causing delays to services between Norwood Junction/ Crystal Palace and London Bridge.

Southern says services running between Norwood Junction and London Bridge may be delayed or diverted at short notice until around 11am.

Passengers journey times will still be extended by up to 45 minutes for the next 2 hrs with some services being diverted, start/term short of destination or have altered stopping patterns applied.

London Underground and TfL buses are accepting Southern tickets on all routes between London and Croydon and Caterham/ Tattenham/ Redhill.

Tramlink is accepting Southern tickets Croydon to Elmers End/ Beckenham Junction.

Southeastern is accepting Southern tickets from Beckenham Junction and Elmers End to London Bridge and vice versa.

First Capital Connect and London Overground are accepting each others tickets on all reasonable routes.

Gatwick Express services are currently suspended. London Overground is reporting severe delays from Highbury & Islington to West Croydon, Crystal Palace and Clapham Junction due to the trespass incident on the track at Honor Oak Park.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokeswoman said: “BTP officers were called to Honor Oak Park station on Thursday, January 24 following a report of a man walking on the line.

“Officers attended the incident, which was reported to BTP at 7.22am.

“An extensive search of the track and surrounding area was carried out by officers by to no avail.”
