Trains subject to delays and cancellations because of icy conditions
7:41am Tuesday 22nd January 2013 in Lewisham By Robert Fisk
TRAIN passengers are expected to experience problems because of the wintry weather this morning.
Southeastern is planning to run a normal timetable today but says some delays are inevitable due to the icy conditions.
A signalling problem at Hayes means all the trains on the line have to run at reduced speed.
Services running through this station may be delayed by up to 40 minutes at short notice.
And Southern says it will be running an amended timetable and this will be subject to alteration with some cancellations.
Both train companies apologise to passengers if their journeys have been disrupted over the last few days and say they are doing everything they can to provide the best possible service in difficult conditions.
