THE mixture of rain, sleet and snow that the News Shopper area has experienced throughout the day will clear this evening.
The clear spell will be accompanied by a further fall in temperatures - which will hover slightly above zero.
A brisk and bitter northeast wind, and wintry showers, will accompany the freezing temperatures into the night.
Drivers and pedestrians are warned that icy stretches will form on untreated surfaces overnight, so caution should be made when venturing out in the morning.
Tuesday is expected to be dry but temperatures will fall further.
