LONDON 2012 has appointed an architect to design a course for horse riding at Greenwich Park.
The event's organising committee, led by chairman Lord Coe, has appointed Sue Benson to design the equestrian cross country course.
She was selected from a shortlist and was recommended by the International Equestrian Federation.
Greenwick Park will host cross country, dressage and showjumping events during the 2012 Olympics.
Ms Benson said: "I'm hugely excited at the prospect of designing the course at Greenwich Park.
"It will provide a stunning backdrop for the equestrian events.
"I look forward to beginning my work as soon as possible."
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games is responsible for the preparation and staging of the 2012 Games.
