THOUSANDS of people celebrated the 2005 Greenwich Multicultural Festival on Sunday.
The festival, held on Plumstead Common, attracted more than 15,000 people.
It was held to celebrate the diverse communities in south east London.
There were stalls of exotic food, clothing and jewellery and music from all over the world.
Councillor Rajwant Sidhu said: "It was a beautiful day. A lot of people turned up and there was entertainment for all sorts of communties and cultures.
"The International Association for Educators for World Peace was also there pledging for world peace."
