A CAMPAIGN to get people involved in local politics is under way.
The Be A Councillor campaign has been launched by London Councils, a cross-party organisation which represents all of the capital's boroughs.
Both Greenwich and Lewisham councils are backing the campaign, which aims to bring in more women, young people and ethnic minorities.
London Councils will hold a London Summit for councillors at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, on July 12.
The free event will include a conference session for potential councillors.
