POLICE are appealing for the man who witnessed a 16-year-old boy being murdered in a bakers' shop to come forward.
The middle aged person had nothing to do with the incident but officers believe he could hold vital information about the death of Jimmy Mizen.
Jimmy was killed in an unprovoked attack at the Three Cooks shop at the junction of Burnt Ash Hill and Woodyates Road at 11.50am yesterday (May 10).
He is believed to have been a pupil at St Thomas More Catholic Comprehensive School in Foots Cray Road.
Jimmy suffered serious injuries to his neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Speaking at a press conference near the scene today investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Cliff Lyons said: "This offence is not gang related.
"This was an assault with an excessive use of violence; an unprovoked attack on a decent young man.
"I would particularly like to speak to a middle aged man inside the bakery who would have seen this incident.
"There are other people who have more information about this incident and I
would also urge them to come forward."
Anyone with information should call 020 8721 4205 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Things have gone too far now.
I think this case proves that there is complete disregard and disrespect for the law.
We must take the paperwork away from the police, put more of them on the street, give them more power and introduce harsher punishments in the courts for murder, ie the death penalty.

What difference does the skin colour of the attacker make? Yet another family has lost a child, our thoughts and prayers should be with them.

The point is a family have lost their sone and are grieving. Do you really think the filth that some of you are spewing is any comfort to this decent family? I think not!

This is just so terrible. I don't live far from where this happened and I walked past this morning and was in tears. I don't know Jimmy but things like this are just so sad to think that his life has been taken before it really began. I hope they catch who done this, and my thoughts are with his family.

The present government should get tough on crimes of this nature and restore the population's faith in them.
The Nazis rose to power because the German people were sick of living in a country of debt and starvation. Their anger was pointed in the direction of Jews (many of whom had fought bravely for Germany in The First World War), Gypsies, homosexuals, lesbians and people who simply disagreed with the message the National Socialsts were putting across .
If this government does not get something sorted quickly, the far-right parties like BNP will get the chance of office and God help us if that happens.

[italic]Socialists[/italic], even.
Instead of blaming each other, let's start asking the people who run the country what they are doing about it.
They love it when the population argues amongst itself because it takes the onus off their own exploits and ****-ups.
Come on [bold]Brown[/bold], what are you going to do about it apart from sit there biting your nails?
