Two car fires overnight

CAR fires in St Paul's Cray and Plumstead were tackled by firefighters overnight.

It took around 25 minutes for a crew from Woolwich to put out a Vauxhall Corsa which was on fire in Spearmen Street, Plumstead.

The incident took place at around 4.30am this morning (March 26).

A crew from Orpington took 15 minutes to bring a flaming vehicle under control at around midnight.

It was parked on a drive in Brenchley Road, St Paul's Cray, and was badly damaged by the flames.

Heat from the fire damaged the paintwork of another vehicle which was parked a few metres away.

We all know that there are plenty of 'hot' cars in the Crays and Plumstead but this is ridiculous!

Your Lord
wonders if the locals took the opportunity to stand around the blazes and toast some hedgehogs.

Dear Andy,

I'd like to complain about the quality of stuff I nicked from your house. The telly wasn't even HD. Please stock up with goods worth stealing next time.

Kind regards

Mark

I would suggest, the Council, employ someone,to actually look at cctv cameras, in these hours of the morning.
It always amazes me that these crimes happen in all towns, yet no one seems to be aware.
