A HOSPICE charity is celebrating its 10th birthday this year with an appeal for more funds.
Demelza Hospice Care for Children provides care for youngsters with terminal illnesses.
News Shopper is backing Demelza's Capital Appeal to raise £6.5m for the building and first year's running costs of a new children's hospice in Wensley Close, Eltham.
So far the charity has raised £2.8m towards its target.
It says there is currently no residential children's hospice which serves the 750 children estimated to be affected by terminal illnesses in south east London.
