JUGGLERS, magicians and other entertainers are being given the chance to wow crowds at a community festival.
Organisers of Lewisham People's Day 2008 are searching for talented people to perform at the borough's annual flagship event, which is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors.
Lewishams Arts Service is planning a programme of entertainment, and auditions for performers under 25 are to be held at The Broadway Theatre, in Catford, on the evening of April 10.
The deadline for application forms is March 31.
Lewisham People's Day, now in its 24th year, is taking place on July 12 from 12 noon to 7pm.
Aileen Buckton, executive director of community services at Lewisham Council, said: "Lewisham People's Day is a unique event because of the enthusiastic participation and support of so many local people."
