GET READING: Author Catherine O'Flynn will launch Greenwich Reads 2008, a Greenwich Council initiative aiming to get the borough reading her book What Was Lost. She will be at the Eltham Centre Library from 11am to 12.30pm and the Greenwich Community College Library, Plumstead Road, at 1.30pm tomorrow.
TALKING CRIME: Journalist and historian Misha Glenny will talk about his book McMafia: Crime Without Frontiers at Blackheath Halls, Lee Road, on April 8. His illustrated talk will show how organised crime has seeped into our lives, often without our knowledge. Tickets cost £8. Call 020 8463 0100.

MAY FAIR: A May fair will be held at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, on May 5 from 11am to 4pm. It will include a stilt walker, maypole dancing, Tudor music and games, craft activities and a hog roast. Call 020 8269 4747.
