A CRACK cocaine addict who held up two shops with a toy gun has been jailed for five years.
Rahman McDonald, aged 24, netted £220 in his raids on a laundrette in Sydenham Road, Sydenham, and a nearby video store on August 6.
A passer-by saw him jump into a getaway car after the robberies and gave the registration number to the police, Blackfriars Crown Court heard.
McDonald denied the raids until he was picked out in an identity parade.
Sentencing McDonald on October 8, Judge Ian Karsten said: "What led you to commit these crimes is you are addicted to crack cocaine."
McDonald, of Queenswood Road, Forest Hill, had pleaded guilty to two charges of robbery and two of possessing an imitation firearm with intent.
