THREE illegal immigrants have been arrested following a raid on a car wash.
The Border and Immigration Agency carried out the operation on September 11.
Five immigration officers visited the hand car wash in Lewisham Road, Lewisham, and detained two failed asylum seekers from Iran and Iraq.
A third man from Kosovo, who was found to be working illegally, was also arrested.
Steps will now be taken to remove the failed asylum seekers from the country.
Agency regional director for London and the south east, Tony Smith, said: "The Border and Immigration Agency is determined to put a stop to illegal working in London.
"Our message to employers is simple. If you employ illegal workers, you could be named and shamed and face criminal charges."
