A SCHOOL held an international day at the end of the school year to celebrate its diversity.
The majority of pupils at the Linton Mead Primary School, Central Way, Thamesmead, can speak more than one language.
It was the second year the school held the day, which has taken over from the traditional summer fete.
The school dining room was turned into a food court serving dishes made by parents.
Salsa dancing and African drumming sessions were held for the pupils.
The day raised £876 to be spent on multicultural books, CDs and musical instruments for the school.
Deputy headteacher Sarah Critchell said: "It was nice and sunny and everyone had a fabulous time."
