POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a partially blind 86-year-old woman was robbed on her way home from a Christmas party.
The victim was on a 126 bus with her friend before she got off at the Prince of Wales pub, in Mottingham Road, Mottingham.
She walked down an alleyway to Nunnington Close when she was grabbed around the waist and thrown to the ground.
The suspect took her purse containing £46, and ran towards Mottingham Road, bumping into a witness on his way. The woman was treated for shock following the December 6 attack, which took place at about 4pm. The suspect is described as a black man, aged about 23, and is about 5ft 11in tall. He wore a brown suede jacket and was smartly dressed. If you saw the attack, call Bromley police's robbery squad on 020 8284 8903, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
