THE Mayor and Cabinet meeting tonight (February 15) will discuss budget savings for the next year.
One of the proposals includes the closing of the Rushey Green, Ladywell, and Honor Oak early years centres.
Emma Timmins of Blagdon Road, in Lewisham relies on the centre in Rushey Green to provide care for her three-year-old daughter three days a week.
The 40-year-old told News Shopper: "I don’t know what I would do. My mum can only help out one day a week and I am due to go back into full time education in September.
"We are urging the council to find an alternative to closing the centre."
