POLICE have released an e-fit after a jogger was sexually assaulted on Woolwich Common in broad daylight.
The incident happened on September 27 at around 10.30am as the 27-year-old jogged along the pathway that runs parallel to Academy Road.
She was suddenly attacked from behind by a man who pinned her to the floor.
The victim was able to free herself after injuring her assailant.
Police say they man they want to speak to in connection with the assault is black, 5ft 8in, stocky, with a highly groomed and distinctive beard.
At the time he was wearing a flat cap, light-coloured cotton jacket, a blue and red cardigan and a pair of grey jeans.
DC Clare Church of Plumstead CID said: “I strongly urge anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit or has any information to contact police as soon as possible."
