POLICE are hunting a man who failed to return on bail for an alleged sexual offence onboard a train.

Kaldeep Singh, aged 32, formerly of Hadlow Road, Welling, was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl on a service between Charing Cross and Woolwich on March 7.

Singh, who was arrested on March 30, was released on police bail until May 3 but failed to return.

Investigators are now appealing for information on his whereabouts.

Detectives believe Mr Singh may have links to the Southall area, as he told officers that on the night of his arrest he was travelling home from there, having been to a temple.

He is also believed to have links to Birmingham and Leicester.

Anyone with information should call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
