HORSE racing is coming to Greenwich two years early as five runners don pantomime costumes for charity.
On December 12 at 1pm five pantomime horses will be racing from Davenport House in King William Walk, stopping off at various pubs before staggering to the finishing line.
Volunteers will be collecting money for Great Ormond Street Hospital on the day and people in fancy dress are being encouraged to join in. Free beer will be served at the starting line.
Event organiser Mark Biddiss explained: “’I wanted to put something nice and quirky together to celebrate the strong community spirit that thrives in Greenwich and have fun doing it.”
