ABBEY WOOD: Boy, 8, 'dream come true' to escort England team at Wembley

AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD boy says his dream will come true when he escorts the England team onto the pitch at Wembley.

Sam Braddick, from Abbey Road, will walk out hand in hand with the county’s top footballers who are playing on November 17 against France.

More than 300 youngsters aged seven to 11 entered an online competition, organised by McDonald’s and The FA, for the chance to be one of six winners.

Sam said: “I am so excited to have won.

“To walk the players out onto the pitch at Wembley will be amazing and to meet all the England players will be like a dream come true.”

The prize also included four match tickets and a replica team kit.
