GREENWICH: Swimmers invited to take part in a charity event

SWIMMERS are being invited to take part in a race for charity.

Individuals and relay-teams of four are being urged to join the Big Splash by jumping into the pool at the Eltham Centre in Archery Road, Eltham, on November 16.

Money raised will go to the Greenwich Starting Blocks Trust, which trains young potential athletes for the Olympics and paralympics.

The individual challenge involves swimming for one hour up and down the 25 metre pool and costs £2.50 to register.

Each relay team must pay £10 to enter and all four members will need to complete 20 lengths each.
