RESIDENTS are being invited to celebrate at a community festival.

Hither Green Week takes place from May 22 until May 29 and includes a barn dance, tea dance and talent show.

The first event on May 22 is a Spring Fayre from 10am until 4pm at Hither Green Clocktower on Hither Green Lane.

Activities will include arts and craft, food stalls, music and Morris dancing.

Hither Green Community Association spokeswoman, Jo Deverson, said: “The week is a great opportunity to celebrate the vibrant community spirit and local talent in the area.

“We hope the week will be enjoyed by residents, as well as by visitors who may not normally venture down to Hither Green.”
