POLICE are appealing for information to trace the owner of a dangerous dog.
Officers from Catford South safer neighbourhoods team seized the animal from a house in Torridon Road on Monday (March 15) at around 2.30pm.
It has been confirmed the dog is an un-neutered pitbull and officers are working to trace the owner.
Sergeant Helen Corris said “We obtained a warrant to search the house, after one of my officers saw what looked like a pitbull by the address.
“The local community has raised concerns about status dogs in the area and pitbulls are dangerous so we will always seize these animals when we find them.”
Anyone with information should call Catford South SNT on 020 8721 2488
