A COUNCIL has teamed up with a college to create a course for people hoping to return to work.
The course is part-time and takes place at Burrage Centre in Burrage Grove, Woolwich.
Put together by Greenwich Council and Greenwich Community College, the scheme helps adults get into their chosen career with practise interviews, tips on applying for jobs and CV advice.
Cabinet member for economy and skills, Councillor Denise Hyland, said: “The Get Ready for Work course is a very beneficial initiative.
“It can prove difficult in the current jobs market to find work. However this course will help people to get on the career path of their choice.”
The initial course saw students who were in their late 20s to early 40s discuss their skills and plan for the future.
