A LIFE-LONG Arsenal fan has been celebrating her 108th birthday.
Doris Burroughs from Eltham invited friends and family to her home in Dairsie Road for her big day on March 5.
The pensioner worked for Southern railways during the World War One and as a supervisor for a Co-op store during the Second War.
When asked for the secret to a long life, she said: "You will have to ask the one above. It was not by ease or luxury.
"The old days were hard days but they were good days."
Her nephew Peter Balm said: "She still watches Arsenal matches even today in bed."
