TWO youngsters were rescued by firefighters from a lift in Deptford yesterday evening (March 8).
Helpful crews from Deptford fire station were called to Hawke Tower in Nynehead Street at around 8pm after an 11 and 12-year-old called for help.
It is understood the pair had been stuck in the lift for between 10 and 20 minutes.
Firefighters were forced to winch the lift upwards to rescue the grateful youngsters, who were unhurt after the drama.
The London Fire Brigade were on the scene near Kings Kids Christian School for around 15 minutes.
