A SCOUTS group will be helping to raise money for a homeless charity by sleeping outside for a night.
Youngsters from the 1st Royal Eltham Scout group hope to raise £400 for homeless charity Shelter by spending a night in cardboard boxes outside their hut, in Avery Hill Road, on August 18.
The group will raise the money through sponsorship and will also be holding a collection during the day of the event outside Sainsbury’s supermarket, in Philipot Path, Eltham.
An Eltham Scout spokeswoman said: “This event hopes to raise awareness of the realities of not having a secure roof over ones head, especially for young people.”
