A BESOTTED Victoria Beckham fan has been charged with threatening behaviour after trying to get into ‘Beckingham Palace’ late at night.
Police officers approached Roland Geall, 51, of Beaconsfield Close, Blackheath, while he was repeatedly ringing the door bell of Posh and Becks’ home at 11.30pm.
He told them: “I love Victoria Beckham, don’t you know?” They asked him what he was doing and he replied: “It’s nothing to do with you.
“It’s none of your business.” He then swore at officers when they ordered him to leave the Beckhams’ £4.5 million mansion in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.
Geall, who had been drinking at the time of his arrest, admitted threatening behaviour and was given a 12-month conditional discharge, at Hertfordshire Magistrates’ Court, on September 25.
Defence lawyer Steven Smythe said Geall was a fan of the music of Mrs Beckham (pictured) and the Spice Girls.
He said: “It appears he pressed the buzzer a few times. He wanted to make contact with Victoria Beckham. If the police had not arrived he would have probably given up and gone home.” Neither Victoria, 29, or Real Madrid ace David, 28, were at home when Geall called, on September 16.
Geall was held in a police cell until he sobered up.
He did not get into the grounds of the home, which are protected by CCTV and an electric fence.
