A COMMUNITY pub saved after a campaign by its regulars could soon be serving again.
Developers Metroliving Ltd altered its plans to turn the whole of the Rutland Arms, Perry Hill, Catford, into flats following public pressure, instead agreeing to keep a pub on the ground floor.
Metroliving director Raj Kang revealed last week someone from the area has expressed an interest in it.
Nigel Blakelock, 57, a former Rutland regular, who has campaigned to keep a pub on the site, said: "Potentially it's good news.
"The pub we want is ideally a replacement for the old one, a proper community pub."
