A CHARITY has held an event to celebrate its work in promoting healthy eating and exercise in the community.
Around 60 people attended the event held by the Downham Nutrition Partnership at Goldsmiths Community Centre, Boundfield Road, Downham.
The event was used to promote its new Fruitilicious scheme, which offers bags of fruit and vegetables at reasonable prices.
There were also stalls promoting healthy eating and an exercise bike for people to use.
Event co-ordinator Laura Mills said: "We were trying to drive home the message of how important it is to eat healthily and exercise.
"The event was a great success. It's the first time we've done it and hopefully we can do it again."
