MEN with a spring in their step are needed.
Greenwich Morris Men fears its tradition of bell shaking, stick beating and handkerchief waving will end unless more come forward to join its 30-year-old group.
Between October and April, the 13 men, aged 28 to 73, meet to practice every Thursday at 8pm in the Vanbrugh Community Centre, Mycenae Road, Blackheath.
Then on May 1, until the end of September, they perform their dances in public to ward off evil, help the Earth bloom and the sun rise.
Ged Balmer, member of 20 years, said: "It's a good way to make friends and shake off those extra few pounds during the new year.
With all the exercise there is room for a beer afterwards."
