OLYMPICS: One million register for tickets

AT least one million people have signed up for Olympic tickets so far, it has been announced.
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) made the announcement one month on from its registration website’s launch.
It says that more than 400,000 people have registered an interest in Paralympic sports and there have been at least 100,000 expressions of interest for each of the 26 Olympic sports.
Committee chairman Sebastian Coe said: “I would urge people to continue to sign up and ensure they are in the front row for information between now and 2012.”
Tickets will officially go on sale in spring 2011.
