A HOSPITAL has been recognised as one of the top performers in the country in terms of waiting times.
In figures just released, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich met and surpassed a March milestone for the majority of its patients who have been referred to a hospital consultant to receive treatment within 18 weeks.
It was one of 37 trusts in the UK to meet the target by December last year.
By the end of March, just over 96 per cent of outpatients and just over 93 per cent of inpatient and day patients referred to the hospital were treated in the Department of Health's 18 weeks target.
